Rachel A. Thompson, M.D., Ph.D.

Dr. Rachel Thompson is the senior member of the group. A veteran physician with one of the Houston area's most popular obstetrical practices, she has been in practice since 1984. She is a Houston-area native, growing up in nearby Alvin, Texas, where she was valedictorian of her high school class and a state champion tennis player. Prior to attending medical school, she earned a bachelor's degree Magna Cum Laude from Rice University and a Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.

She received her M.D. with honors from the Baylor College of Medicine, and completed her internship and residency at Baylor, as well. A board certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist, she is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. She is listed in Top Doctors in America.

Dr. Thompson is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine. She has served as chief of the medical staff and chairman of the Board of Trustees at the Woman's Hospital of Texas. She is married with two children.

Dr. Thompson sees patients at the Main Office and at Angleton.
